DAY 1
MEETINGS:
SADD - Meeting Thursday at noon in Room 311. New members are always welcome.
STUDENT COUNCIL - Important meeting Thursday at noon for the students attending the Provincial Conference. This is a mandatory meeting so get your permission slips signed and bring your lunch to Room 407 at the noon bell on Thursday.
FREE THE CHILDREN - Brief but important meeting tomorrow at 12:00 noon. All those interested in participating in Halloween for Hunger, please attend.
FOLLOWING STUDENTS GO TO ROOM 308 AT 11:45 A.M. - Gary Law, Alexandra Gallant, Alex Watterson, Harrison Snow, and Mitchell Clements.
TOSH POLICE PROGRAM - Any students wishing to join or get more information, are asked to attend a meeting on Nov. 2nd at 12:15 pm. in the Lecture Theatre. Sign up sheet is in Rom 202.
DJ CLUB - Meeting today in Room 307 at the noon bell.
SPORTS:
WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM - Lost 2-1 to Westisle last night. Lone goal scorer was Thora Christensen.
- Please return uniforms to Mrs. Thomson asap.
MEN’S SOCCER TEAM - Beat Montaque last night 6-2. Goal Scorers were Tyson Arsenault (2) and Jeff Rodgerson (2), Nathan Ferrish and Keith Girard. The men will go on to the semi final game tomorrow in Cornwall.
WOMEN’S "A" VOLLEYBALL TEAM - Practice will be at 3:30 p.m. today.
WOMEN’S "AAA" VOLLEYBALL TEAM - Practice tonight from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
FIELD HOCKEY TEAM - Lost their semi final game to Rural last night. Next action for the team is Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at UPEI.
ALL CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS AND MRS. SULLIVAN - Go to the stage now for a quick picture.
GENERAL:
MAGAZINE CAMPAIGN - Last collection day is today. Homeroom reps are asked to collect money and subscriptions and bring them to Room 614 immediately after Silent Reading. All sellers come to the gym at noon and win some prizes at the Silly Olympics. Mini hot/cold fridge for top Olympian and mini laptop will be drawn from all sellers.
REMINDER - CHORAL ENSEMBLE REHEARSAL - Tomorrow after school, Friday early morning and next Monday after school in preparation for the Remembrance Day Ceremony.
CARON’S DRIVER’S ED. - Beginning Nov. 9th at 3:30 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre.
REACH FOR THE TOP - Today - Vipers vs. Canucks, Wednesday -Crusaders vs. Royals, Thursday - Spitfires vs. Wizards, Friday - No Game.
GRAD BIOS AND BABY PICTURES - REMINDER FOR ALL GRADS - Were due Wed., Oct. 21st. Make sure they are in today if you have not yet handed them in.
STUDENT PICTURE RETAKES - Will take place today, Tues., Oct. 27th, 2009.
HALLOWEEN CANDY GRAMS - Students from Mr. McNeill’s Leadership Class will be selling grams today, Tues., Oct. 27th for The Adopt a Family Fundraiser. The cost will be $1.00 each in front of the Lecture Theatre.
HALLOWEEN GRAD DANCE - Thurs., Oct. 29th from 8:30-11:00 p.m. at a cost of $5.00 each or $4.00 with a non perishable food item. There will be games and prizes as well as prizes for costumes. There will also be refreshments. Get your friends together, dress up and come to the first grad activity of the year.
STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS - The sign up sheet for the Phil Boyte Workshop Oct. 29th is on the CSLC room door. You only have until Friday to get your name signed up.
STUDENT SERVICES:
- Check the new up-to-date Bursary Board.
- Anger Management Group - healthy emotion to begin a group in early November. If you would like to join, please see one of the counselors in Student Services.
- Lorne Award Recipients are asked to pick up your application in Student Services.
- On Oct. 28th, a representative of the Boys and Girls Club will be here in the Lecture Theatre at noon for a presentation.
