ANNOUNCEMENTS
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th, 2009
DAY 1
MEETINGS:
STUDENT COUNCIL - Important meeting today for all. We are starting to plan Octoberfest and Pumpkin Patrol, so bring your lunch and be in the lecture Theatre promptly at 12:00 noon. New members are always welcome.
SADD - Important brief meeting at the lunch bell.
SPORTS:
POWER LIFTING TEAM - Meeting today after school. Team members are asked to bring in their permission forms and meet in the Fitness Room.
RUGBY INTRAMURAL - Today is the last day to sign up. Still need 7 more players. Games are at lunch time in the gym.
INTRAMURAL RUGBY (TOUCH) - Any students (male and female) interested in this, sign up outside the gym office.
WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM - All those players planning to run cross country, are asked to see Mr. Donovan at the a.m. break in Student Services for an important message.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL TEAM - Finished 3-3 and 6th of 16 at the Dalhousie Tournament this weekend. The team practices tonight at 6:30 p.m. and hosts Westisle tomorrow night.

GENERAL:
MAGAZINE CAMPAIGN - All reps are asked to collect subscriptions and money and bring it to 614 office after the announcements. Anyone who has sold subscriptions and handed them in today or who has had online sales, will be put in a draw for prizes including a mini lap top. These prizes will be drawn for at 11:50 a.m. in the cafeteria and you must be present to win.
STUDENT CASHIERS - Looking for students if interested, please see Debbie in the cafeteria.
PEER HELPERS - Reflection #2 is due Wed. this week. The new scenario is available in the tray in the main office. Corrected assignments are in the box ray for pick up. NO block meetings this week, due to the short week.
REACH FOR THE TOP - No games this week. The next game will be the Canucks vs. Cavaliers on Mon., Oct. 19th.
YEARBOOK - On sale today $40.00.
- Surveys and chosen ones, can be picked up in the main office if you have not yet completed yours and must be returned no later than Wed., Oct. 14th. Grad bios and baby photos must be handed in no later than Oct. 21st at the latest. Make sure your full name is indicated on both.
STUDENT SERVICES:
- Check the new up-to-date Bursary Board posted before noon today.
- If you are an aboriginal youth and are interested in a business program sponsored by the Business Development Bank of Canada, stop by Student Services for details.
- Mount "A" Open House Friday, Oct. 23rd. You must register a head of time if planning to attend.
- Any student interested in tutoring, please leave your name and area of interest to tutor at Student Services. You can earn community service bursary hours by doing this.
- Check out the East Prince Youth Development presentations taking place with someone in Student Services.
- Anger Management Group - healthy emotion to begin a group in early November. If you would like to join, please see one of the counselors in Student Services.
