FREE THE CHILDREN - Today at lunch in Room 309.
- Donations will be collected in front of the Lecture Theatre - Mr. Trainor is going to shave his beard.
SADD - Important meeting today at noon in Room 311.
STUDENT COUNCIL TREASURERS - Meeting in Room 407 today at noon.
FARMERS HELPING FARMERS - Meeting in Room 407 today at noon.
SPORTS:
SUMMERSIDE UNITED BOYS UNDER 16 PREMIERE SOCCER - Tryout tonight 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Athena School Field.
BEEP TEST - Today at noon in the gym for anyone interested.
TRACK AND FIELD - Important meeting at 12:00 noon sharp in the Lecture Theatre today.
MEN’S SOFTBALL TEAM - Defeated Westisle 9-6 last night with Dave Arsenault as winning pitcher.
- Team travels to Kinkora this evening for a showdown with the Blazers.
GENERAL:
GRADE 12'S - REMINDER - Of Safe Grad Parent Information Night tonight for your parents/guardians at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre. Prior to this, there will be an ice cream sundae bar for all grads.
ALL BAND STUDENTS - Rehearsals have started again in preparation for the end of the year concert.
PEER HELPERS - Scenario 7 due Friday.
REACH FOR THE TOP - Today - Cougars vs. Canucks and Friday - Barons vs. Crusaders (this game on Friday begins right at the noon bell).
EXTRA CURRICULAR POINTS - A reminder to all staff supervisors of clubs, sports teams, etc., to please get your point sheets in to Ms. Campbell asap.
REMINDER - TO GRAD STUDENTS - PROM ON SAT., MAY 23RD - Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. and close at 9:30 p.m. and the dance will go from 9:00-12:00 p.m. NO ONE will be allowed to enter after 9:30 p.m. All students attending prom are reminded that you don’t need to bring your ticket to enter. The names of all grads attending and sign ins has been finalized and the transfer of tickets from one grad to another or the transfer of sign ins on prom night will not be permitted. If you and your date are not currently on the list, you will not be allowed to enter.
- Grads, please inform all family and friends wishing to attend the prom that they will be asked to enter the school at the gym entrance doors and to wait in the cafeteria for grads to arrive. All grads must enter through the main entrance.
- The prom committee will be decorating for prom after school on Friday, May 22nd. The prom committee would greatly appreciate it if other students could volunteer a few hours after school to help them set up for prom. Leadership students can also get volunteer hours for doing so.
- To all students attending prom - Katharina’s Bridal Boutique would like to interview students on the red carpet, for a keepsake video of your prom. They have sent out release forms that need to be signed by your parents if you are under the age of 18 and if you are 18 you must sign it yourself. If they do not receive all of the release forms back from all attending students and guests, they will not be able to film this event. Please pick up and return Release Forms in the library no later than Friday morning.
- Today is the very last day for students to stay after school to prepare for prom. Any prom displays which are not finished this evening will NOT be used at prom. Any students, whether members of prom committee or not, who are able to stay after school today to paint are strongly encouraged to do so and asked to meet on the stage at 3:40 p.m.
STUDENT SERVICES:
- All graduates - Destination of Choice - sign up sheet is now available in Student Services. If you are planning on attending post secondary upon graduation, you must indicate where you would like your transcripts sent.
- Please show proof of your scholarship offer to a Student Services Representative - Nothing can be stated at graduation regarding your scholarship if verification is not presented.
- New bursary list is now posted in Student Services.
- Applications for summer jobs at Sand Spit, Shining Waters and Burlington Amusement Park are available in Student Services. Start dates June 15-Sept. 7.
- Lots of new bursaries to view so come and check the 10 page list. Don’t be late!!
- Service Canada - Reminder - at lunch hour on Thursday - jobs - resume.
