MEETINGS:
BIOTECH CHALLENGE - Very brief but important meeting at noon today in Room 611. This should only take 5-10 minutes, but all students participating in the competition are asked to attend.
STUDENT COUNCIL EXECUTIVE - Meeting in Room 406 at the noon bell. Advisors are asked to attend.
SPORTS:
WOMEN’S SPRING VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS - For Grades 9 and 10 students will begin on Tues., Jan. 13th 6:00-7:30 p.m. at SIS.
WOMEN’S "AA" BASKETBALL TEAM - Host Westisle tonight at 5:30 p.m. Team is to meet in the gym classroom 45 minutes before game time.
WOMEN’S "AAA" BASKETBALL TEAM - Won the bronze medal at the Ch’Town Rural Basketball Tournament on the weekend. Players of the game were Julia Heckbert, Emma Croken and Kristine Johnston, and tournament all star Catherine Strongman.
GENERAL:
FARMERS HELPING FARMERS - Reminder that letters for Kenya are due by the end of the day on Tuesday. Don’t forget to include some photos. If anyone else is interested in writing a letter to a student in Kenya please see Mrs. Craig.
SENIOR BAND MEMBERS - REMINDER - Rehearsal tomorrow morning and jazz after school tomorrow.
- Band students who haven’t received their pancake breakfast tickets can pick them up on the bulletin board outside the band room.
REACH FOR THE TOP - Today - Spitfires vs. Canucks, Tuesday - Paladins vs. Cavaliers, Wednesday - Barons vs. Monarchs, Thursday - Wizards vs. Royals, Friday - No Game. Playoffs continue next week.
COURSE CHANGES - DEADLINE - Is Fri., Jan. 16th. There will be no course changes after this date.
POSITIVE CHOICES SESSION - Will be held Wed., Jan. 14th on Family Violence.
BAKE SALE TODAY - With proceeds to go to Josh (a student at KISH recently diagnosed with leukemia) and his family.
JVI DRIVER EDUCATION CLASSES - Begins today, Jan. 12th, 2009 at JVI, Slemon Park and Westisle Composite High School.

CARON’S DRIVER’S ED. - Begins Tues., Jan. 13th at 3:30 p.m.
CATCH THE CSLC SPIRIT NIGHT - Plan to come out for a few hours of CSLC Spirit on Sun., Jan. 18th 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at TOSH. You don’t have to be a Spirit Leader or CSLC Volunteer to attend and it promises to be a great time. See you there.
