GENERAL:
TODAY IS CUSTODIAN APPRECIATION DAY - At any point today if you see any one of our amazing cleaners and custodians, please give a smile and say thank you for all their hard work and everything they do for our school and us here at TOSH.
MARITIME IDOL - PEI REGIONALS - Congratulations to those who made it through to the PEI Regional Finale on Sat., Jan. 31st at 6:30 p.m. at Colonel Gray High School. Summerside winners include: Amanda Boylan, Tracey MacLean, Nicole Raynor, Kristina Kleim and Brenda Kleim.
INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL TOURS - Six students are needed to assist Mrs. Keough in providing a tour of TOSH for the intermediate schools in February. Applications for tour guides are available in Student Services.
PEER HELPER - Scenarios are available in the main office. Also a reminder for students to complete their classroom projects.
AFTERNOON CO OP STUDENTS - Reminder to hand in your weekly assignments and the evaluations.
LEADERSHIP CLASS - SALVATION ARMY CLOTHING DRIVE - Bring in any used clothing to your homerooms. There will be boxes set up in every class tomorrow and we will be taking donation for the next week.
REACH FOR THE TOP - Today the 2-day playoff between the Spitfires and the Barons continues in Room 417 at noon. Spectators are welcome.

- 37th National Commonwealth Forum for Grade 11 or 12 Students - Ottawa - May 3-8. Registration due Feb. 15th. See your social studies teacher or Mr. Donovan in Student Services for more details.
- Destination of Choice - sign up sheet is now available in Student Services. If you are planning on attending post secondary upon graduation, you must indicate where you would like your transcripts sent.
- Explore Program 2009 French Language Bursary Program $2,000.00 Bursary. Due date Feb. 28th. Stop by Student Services.
- Tourism Employment Showcase - Thurs., Feb. 19th at the Tourism and Culinary Centre 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Over 400 different employment opportunities.
- East Prince Youth Development Centre - Summerside Job Fair to be held at the Credit Union Place on Thurs., Apr. 2nd 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- To all graduates, potential planning on pursuing post secondary - want to earn a $1,000.00 Bursary? Watch for the announcement and is sponsored by Summerside Rotary Club. This is open to all who are trying to improve their marks and attendance in school.
- You don’t want to miss this. Rotary Club of Summerside - Rotary Adventure in Citizenship May 3-6 in Ottawa. All expenses paid. Application due Feb. 13th. Stop by Student Services.
- Nursing Application deadline Feb. 15th, 2009 at UPEI. Don’t forget the supplemental information.
- March 2nd NSAC will hold it’s 10th Annual University Days. For more details contact Student Services or NSAC.
- Mount A will have a bus leaving Summerside on Feb. 2nd. Cost is $5.00 per person. RSVP today, Jan. 23rd. See the poster in Student Services.
- Time to enter the 3rd annual software competition put on by Dal Faculty of computer science on Sat. Feb. 14th. More details on Dal Web Site or hand out in Student Services.
- Essay competition to mark 50th anniversary of United Nations General Assembly adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. More details in Student Services.
- For all students considering the strive program, you must sign up with Mr. Donovan in Student Services asap.
